Mahi Mahi

The Mahi mahi fish has a long and compressed body, its mouth is large and it has a large number of very fine teeth on both jaws. The color of these fish is very bright when they are still alive. Their sides are golden, their pectoral fins are metallic blue and their back is greenish. It is also one of the most typical fish in the Zihuatanejo region.


Rooster Fish

With their spiny, rooster-like dorsal fins, roosterfish are an unusual yet beautiful species that roam the shorelines within reach of Zihuatanejo, both to the north and south.
Roosters are aggressive and brawling and a fun, strong fighting fish on either conventional or fly gear.


Yellow Fish Tuna

Tuna are marvels of biological engineering. Their torpedo-shaped bodies, often described as fusiform, are perfectly streamlined to minimize drag as they slice through water. A crescent-shaped caudal fin (tail fin) provides powerful propulsion, while retractable dorsal and pectoral fins can be tucked into grooves to further reduce turbulence.


Sailfish

In the vast, shimmering expanse of the ocean, a creature of unparalleled speed and striking beauty reigns supreme: the Sailfish. The Sailfish, is instantly recognizable by its towering, sail-like dorsal fin and its elongated, spear-like bill.
